ChaosChess

This chess variant was invented by Allen Jett in 1997.

It is played on an eight by eight chess board. The game starts as follows: All pieces except the kings are randomly placed on the board (white pawns must be placed on ranks 1-6, black pawns on ranks 3-8).
After random placement of all other pieces, both players (black player at first) place their kings, so that either king is not placed in check or mate. After that, white player starts the game and all rules of the normal chess game apply.

Note: This game always counts for statistics and ratings, even if less than 2 moves have been played before it ends.
